Create your building and place it on an interactive map, contributing to the participatory design of the city.
Paper City is a project that, starting from simple elements, brings the entrants to think about things as the ability to work on a common project, responsibility of our actions and city as a place to live actively.

We decided to use paper, an ancient material, combined with new technologies asconductive ink to prove that the dialogue between past and present is possible and desirable.

Our project combines technological experimentation with handicraft, starting from the philosophy of Makers (A.K.A. digital artisans).

With an easy exercise brings to reflect on very current topics such as the management of resources and the cohabitation of different human being in the same place.

PAPER CITY IS AN INTERESTING SOCIAL EXPERIMENT, WITH A "DESIGN ORIENTED" APPROACH AIMS TO BRING PEOPLE ASK THEMSELVES A QUESTION:

La Technology has its own language and today, more than ever, we need to fully understand it, in order to learn how to use it as a tool.
Paper City is the living proof that the connection between art, design and technology is amazing. From one side the art of paper and design "use" technology, to animate the city and catch the interest around the dynamics that live into it. From the other side, they create an ideal environment for experimentation it activates some of the principles that bring technology to life.
La Robotics is a medium, to reflect on the microcosm of the city, falling in love with its colors, sounds and movements. White paper buildings, with tiny circuits, come to life, brightening with different colors and once placed into the city, they can activate sounds and noises, thanks to conductive ink
that makes the map "touch". To complete the daily symphony of the city, with an eye on sustainability, we have some moving parts, such as billboards and wind turbine.
They are made by mechatronics systems input-output and they can be controlled directly and make more than ever...
